Installing a water filter under the sink First, shut off the cold water line under the kitchen sink. The cold water have to be on the right side. Open the faucet to drain the cold water that is in the line before the shut-off valve. Place a small bucket or bowl under the cold water line below the sink to catch any leaking water. Then loosen the water connection with a wrench. Insert one end of the black hose, which is also included in the kit, into the adapter and the other end into the filter. There are pictures on the back of the filter that show which tube to connect to which hose. Connect the second adapter to the water shut-off valve.
